Name: Thomas

Gender: Male

Birthday: July 17, 2024

An older woman called one of our volunteers and said she had these 2 kittens who were about 6 weeks old and would we take them. If we didn’t, she was going to take them to the shelter. At the shelter, these 2 kittens would have been euthanized because they were not tame and were about 5 months old. They were not 6 weeks as the woman had said. The shelter would have euthanized them because they would not have been adoptable. We try not to take in kittens any older that 10 weeks as they are more difficult to tame and it takes a really long time. These two were months passed 10 weeks so they were quite the challenge. Fortunately, these two were partially tamed. I worked on them for months. I started them out in a room where the box spring and mattress are on the floor so they had no place to hide. They would run from me if I went near them. Eventually they let me pick them up and I let them out of the room to live with the general population running around my house. I continued to pick them up and hold them a lot. Now I can happily say that they actually jump up on my lap when I am sitting in my recliner and beg for love. They love to play together. Both are big purr babies. They are excited to be fed and have become the sweetest little boys. If you decide to adopt Thomas or the pair, please start them out in a small room and be patient. Let them get use to you and they will become really loving. These 2 have actually become my favorites but you can't tell my other foster cats. Hopefully you will consider this sweet little man.
